You can subscribe to two different forms of the list,

either STANDARD or DIGEST.

The STANDARD list forwards all messages to your e-mail account as they are posted. This keeps you right up to date, but on occasion can mean a lot of messages arriving throughout the day. The DIGEST version combines all the messages into a single post, received on a daily basis. On busy days you might receive more than one digest in a day.

IMPORTANT

The Avalon Mailing List can only accept posts in STANDARD TEXT FORMAT. Some e-mail programs, such as Microsoft Outlook can optionally send email in HTML format. This would not be accepted by Avalon. You will have to switch this option off within your email program.

Additionally Avalon cannot accept any form of email attachment, such as pictures or sound files. Any post with an attchment will also be bounced by the server.

This should start your email program. Click SEND, and you will be added to the STANDARD llist membership. If this does not work, open your email program, and send a message to majordomo@smoe.org with the body message: (not the subject) subscribe avalon

Subscribing to the DIGEST LIST

This should start your email program. Click SEND, and you will be added to the list membership. If this does not work, open your email program, and send a message to majordomo@smoe.org with the body message: (not the subject) subscribe avalon-digest

LEAVING THE LIST

If you wish to leave either the STANDARD or the DIGEST lists follow the appropriate instructions below.

IMPORTANT.

You must unsubscribe using the same email address that you are subscribed under, or your request will fail.
